Ed Amick

  Groovy Music remasters tapes from regional rock and roll groups and then sells the discs internationally.   Amick currently tours with his blues band, The Rumblers and is involved in public relations work in the   Louisville Kentucky area. Amick is known for his work in television on several fronts including news coverage   of Hurricanne Katrina. Amick stated " My life has been so blessed, I decided to help in some small way to   give back to those who have not had such a blessed life."

  Amick founded KIDS FIRST INC. a not for profit organization which helps children and families in need all year   long. For twenty years now he and his volunteer organization have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars,   which is distributed by local schools and organizations to help those in troubled times.

  His longtime friend and business partner, Delaney Bramlett was a supporter of the organization since it's   inception and appeared with Amick and his band several times to raise funds. Delaney always appeared for   no charge.

  "I have been so blessed in my life to have worked and met many wonderful people with such great talent. My   connection with Delaney was instant, both being from small rural areas with close family ties and our love of   music. His family and mine became one extended family, and they still are. I have had the opportunity in my life to work with some of the musical greats, the greatest talent being Delaney, he had no real idea of his natural God given talent. It just poured out of him like a voice from heaven."
