Jaesen Kanter

Jaesen was born in LA, California, and raised in Ventura County. Enlisting in the Air Force as a   firefighter/paramedic at the age of 17, Jaesen spent 4 years in Europe, 2 of which he spent doing ad   campaigns for Benetton, Carrot and Levis.

After a brief re-emergence in the LA entertainment industry Jaesen found refuge in the "action sports"   industry. His passion for nature, the outdoors, and snowboarding afforded him the ability to help pioneer the   merge of music, board sports, and entertainment.

While snowboarding in New Zealand in 1994, Jaesen reconnected with his entertainment roots with a guest   role on Mysterious Island, a Canadian TV show filmed in NZ. Shortly there after, Jaesen found himself working   on an anti-gun script for the NZ Firearm and Safety commission. After writing and producing a short film   entitled Session, Jaesen returned to LA to attend film classes at AFI and UCLA. In 1998, Jaesen accepted a   job with Ride Snowboards as a sales associate, which allowed him to once again nurture his passions for   nature, music and entertainment.

After moving to Mammoth, CA in 1999 Jaesen began merging his passions into what is now Mammoth Media   Group. A boutique full-service media company whose clients include Disney, X-Games, Fuel TV, Westin Hotels, the City of LA, Red Bull, and Mammoth Mountain.

After settling in Mammoth, Jaesen started Mammoth TV, an action sport/ lifestyle website that brought the "pro lifestyle" to anyone fortunate enough to have a 56k dial-up connection. As time and technology progressed, action sports shows like "54321", the X-Games and "fuel tv" paved the way for action sports to claim their place in mainstream media.

Jaesen donates about 200 hours a year worth of graphic design time to various non profit organizations, including The Optimist Club, Camarillo Education Foundation, Mammoth Lakes Art Foundation.

Jaesen has worked with the city of LA and Disneys WOW program educating inner city kids on environmentality and outdoor education.
