Lisa Marvin
Web Development Director
I was born in Elmira, New York, raised by my mom Joan, a strong yet gentle souled, single mother. As a small child we left for the" Sunshine State" and settled in Bradenton, Florida. My home was always filled with music, even at a young age. My mother was a huge inspiration for my love of music, in all its genres. Whether it was listening to my mother's 8-tracks or my sister Debbie's albums or carrying around my portable record player and case full of 45's. Entertainment was paramount our house.
In 1998, while going through a bump in the road of life, I discovered that music can and does have a healing power. After hearing a song called "Better Days" written by Bekka Bramlett, Billy Burnette and Annie Roboff, Lisa creating a fan website for singer, songwriter and recording artist Bekka Bramlett, as a way thanking her for such a powerful song. In 2000, Bekka heard about the website and contacted Lisa and the two have been friends ever since.
My organizational skills and my knowledge of web design have led to the position of web development director for the Board of Directors of the Poor Elijah Foundation. I love computers, and can tear one apart and put it back together. I have knowledge with many software titles including Adobe, Microsoft, Swish and others.
I have also been very giving with my time as a volunteer at The Boys and Girls Club of America.
I look forward to the challenges that will come along with being a part of such an amazing foundation as Poor Elijah.
