P.R. Director Poor Elijah Foundation

Maria Schaefer

I knew from the first time she saw Glen Campbell at the county fair that music was my life. At the age of   three my daddy took me to my first concert, that was the magical moment my love affair with rock n roll   began.

Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico the only child to Daniel J Angel and Judith Lewis an amazing free spirited   artist mother and a music-loving father, respectively. My love of the arts was instilled at an early age. Culture   has played a huge part in my upbringing be it musicals, ballets, operas, or museums. Each and every   experience has brought me to this beautiful place in my life, creatively and with a love in my heart for giving   back to the   next generation what was given to me as a youth.

My love of music and the freedom in my beautiful childhood has allowed me continue my musical education   via concerts. I have "rocked" at over 500 concerts and still counting

My strength is my ability to "get er done". Being blessed with an entrepreneurial mind, I have the ability to   see the whole picture AND make it happen. My PR skills have been proven to be unmatched. Born a warrior, I   love a challenge. I prepare for battle and always take the "front line".

At this time in my life...I'm so grateful and blessed for the chance to give back. The Poor Elijah Foundation is important to my spirit. Art in any form is important...as it stirs the soul. My fundamental goal is to help all musicians (regardless of popularity or musical genre) keep rocking.

After graduating from high school at the age of 16, I attended Moorpark College where I excelled at gymnastics. At 16 I was far to young for that type of public college setting and decided to get a job and move out on my own. After a series of jobs including serving the elderly breakfast everyday, to being a waitress. I settled on finding a business opportunity. I have never shied away from a job or getting my hands dirty.

"Maria has been raising a family for the last 25 years. She is married with three children, Jacqueline, Alexander and Nicholas."

I have also volunteered at the local mission to feed the homeless, as well as numerous shelters. As a child I was active in the local convalesent home.
